George facilitated a 5-day workshop sharing the Innovation Management System framework, principles, methodology, tools and techniques to inspire innovative thinking capabilities and enhance employee engagement in both the public and private sector organisations.

George inspired organisations from the gloves manufacturing sector to embrace Lean Manufacturing philosophy to achieve world-class Operational Excellence. Delighting customers with higher product quality, competitive prices and shorter delivery times.

George shared practical applications of productivity tools and techniques for executing successful productivity improvement projects to help build a pool of competent productivity specialists, as consultants and trainers.

George presented a paper on “Embedding Business Excellence for Inclusive, Innovation-led Productivity” in line with conference theme of “Driving Inclusive and Innovation-led Productivity for a Resilient Fiji”.

George shared practical applications of productivity measurement for both public and private sectors, and knowledge and skills in computing Key Productivity Indicators and Operational Indicators.

George facilitated a 5-day Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA) Evaluators training to prepare a team of 74 Evaluators and Team Leaders for the 2025 Evaluation Cycle.

George inspired more organisations to embrace the BE Journey for enhancing the Productivity, Quality and Innovation. The framework, principles and core values of the BE framework and its initial implementation phases were shared during the conference.

The Informal Economy plays a vital role in the socioeconomic fabric of our countries, providing livelihoods for a significant portion of the population. George shared  the ways to enhance its productivity and innovation for growth, as well as a case example on the transformation of the informal economy.

Digital technologies have been revolutionising business operations, creating new challenges and opportunities. George shared insights on “Driving Service Innovation through Workforce Reskilling and Upskilling” and “Embracing Job Redesign for a Future-ready Service-sector Workforce”.

George Wong facilitated an engaging program for CEOs & management of organisations to review and transform business models, systems, practices and policies for enhancing productivity, competitiveness and business growth.

George Wong shared an insightful approach to enhance public sector productivity for senior government officials. He inspired them to strive for excellence and transform services to enhance trust, satisfaction, cost effectiveness, competitiveness and quality of life for all.

George Wong served as the Chief Judge at the 2024 National Quality & Innovation Conference and the 4th Team Excellence Competition. Teams from both public and private sectors participated actively to showcase their productivity, innovation & quality improvement projects.

George Wong facilitated a 4-day Productivity Measurement program for more than 22 participants from both the public sector and private sectors. The program focused on practical applications of productivity measurement methodology, tools and key indicators to enhance and sustain productivity in the organisational and at sectorial levels.

George Wong presented a paper “Inclusive, Innovation-led Productivity Growth in the Asia Pacific” at the 3rd Productivity Breakfast 2024. The talk aimed to generate interest and provide insights on the way forward to implement inclusive, innovation-led productivity strategies and actions in organisations. . 

George Wong facilitated a 4-day Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA) Evaluators Training for about 70 Evaluators. This annual process was key to refresh existing evaluators, as well as to train new evaluators for the 25th Fiji Business Excellence Awards cycle this year. 

George Wong facilitated an insightful Benchmarking Research and Comparative Study focusing on ‘Quality, Service and Value’ for the Retail and Food Services. Enhancing Productivity and achieving Business Excellence in the New Normal.

George Wong presented a paper on “Shaping the Future: Trends & Insights for Tomorrow“ at the 27th NQIC. He also served as the Chief Judge, for the 3rd Team Excellence Competition, where Teams participated to share their  projects to enhance competitiveness and growth of their organisations.

George Wong facilitated a 2-day workshop to assist organisations to review, design and establish a Productivity Measurement System for sustaining their productivity and business excellence journey.

George Wong shared the Project Improvement Framework to enhance the food safety management systems of food retail, food manufacturing, food services enterprises (cafes, food stalls, restaurants) and street food stalls.

George Wong shared, refreshed and updated insights on Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA) Framework for both senior and new FBEA Evaluators. It was indeed an excellent opportunity to have all the FBEA evaluators coming together to prepare for the 2023 FBEA cycle.

Mr. George Wong shared practical applications of Industrial Engineering to lay a strong foundation of Productivity, Quality and Business Excellence. The sessions covered work system design, work system measurement and facilities layout planning for enhancing productivity levels and growth rates of SMEs.

Mr. George Wong presented practical approaches to implement a holistic Productivity Management System, for SMEs to review their systems and practices, aligned to the Business Excellence Framework. The methodology of Productivity Measurement was shared to enhance productivity & profitability.

Mr. George Wong presented an overall Evaluation Summary of the LEAN project implementation by the participating companies at the National LEAN Manufacturing Seminar.      He was a panel member to share the concepts of LEAN and  Innovation & Quality Circles (IQCs), as well as how it can be successfully introduced in organisations.

Mr. George Wong shared his experiences, as a panel speaker, during the Quality & Productivity webinar for the Transport and Logistics Services sector. The application and importance of the Value Added (VA) concept and Key Productivity Indicators (KPIs) were presented for organisations to review and enhance their competitive advantage. It was a wonderful session of mutual sharing and professional insights amongst the panel speakers and participants.

Mr. George Wong served as the Asian Productivity Organisation’s Technical Expert to share his knowledge and practical applications of the LEAN Philosophy for organisations in Bangladesh to gain Competitive Advantage, Sustained Growth and Organisational Excellence.

Mr. George Wong served as the Chief Resource Person of the Asian Productivity Organisation to share practical applications of Productivity, Quality and Business Excellence to delegates from Asia-Pacific countries in their learnings and preparation to become APO Certified Productivity Practitioners (CPP).

Mr. George Wong trained delegates from the manufacturing and service sectors on the philosophy and implementation of the Innovation & Quality Circles (IQCs), a well-proven employee engagement mechanism, for creating higher Value Add (VA), enhancing Competitiveness and sustaining Service & Organisational Excellence.

Mr. George Wong presented methodology and insights on the Benchmarking Process and Strategies for achieving Organisational Excellence for enterprises in the Service Sector. References were provided to assist delegates in the development of their Organisational Excellence Roadmaps and Action Plans.

Mr. George Wong served as the Chief Judge at the 23rd National Convention on Quality organised by the Fiji National Training & Productivity Center/Fiji National University. During the event, he presented a paper on “Quality Circles and Culture of Quality” – the foundation for Innovation, Competitiveness, Organisational Excellence and Sustainable Productivity through People!

Mr. George Wong shared practical knowledge and skills to embrace the Business Excellence Framework criteria for reviewing organisational systems, policies and practices to develop Organisational Excellence Roadmaps in the Digital Economy.

Mr. George Wong shared practical productivity knowledge, skills and the desired professional attributes to delegates from Asia-Pacific countries in their journey to become Certified Productivity Practitioners (CPP).

Mr. George Wong was deputed as the APO Chief Resource Person to facilitate mutual sharing and learnings amongst delegates from 14 countries on the Business Excellence Framework criteria, scoring system, evaluation and the self-assessment process.

Mr. George Wong served as the APO Technical Expert to share his practical productivity, quality and business excellence knowledge and experiences to develop aspiring productivity practitioners from the various Asia Pacific countries.

Mr. George Wong facilitated the development of trainers and consultants in the design and implementation of LEAN Manufacturing Systems, using practical approaches in the management and improvement of manufacturing systems.

Mr. George Wong served as the APO Technical Expert to facilitate and share the application of LEAN Management for the Service Sector comprising hospitals, banks and administrative organisations

Mr. George Wong conducted training on Knowledge Management (KM) and its relationship with Innovation activities for productivity specialists, project managers and human resource managers to initiate KM projects for enhancing their organisation’s competitiveness.

Mr. George Wong facilitated and shared practical approaches in implementing the Lean Philosophy to delegates from 16 Asia-Pacific countries. The delegates also formulated roadmaps to transform their respective organisations.

Mr. George Wong was deputed as the APO Chief Resource Person for a 5-day Study Mission to delegates from 14 countries. The mission provided practical and innovative insights to achieve sustained business operations, growth and competitiveness in SMEs.

Mr. George Wong facilitated  a 5-day in-country TQM and Productivity/Quality Program for Education. The concepts and practical implementation steps of TQM were shared to achieve Performance Excellence in Education.

Mr. George Wong facilitated the e-Learning course, for delegates from 12 Asia Pacific countries, to adopt the Business Excellence Framework to review and enhance their business performances.

Mr. George Wong served as a Lead Judge in this annual event that provides an opportunity for Quality Circles (QCs) in Asia Pacific to learn and showcase their innovative projects. Teams were assessed based on the ASQ’s Team Excellence Award criterias.

Mr. George Wong facilitated as the APO Chief Resource Person of the 10-Day Course for participants from 16 Asia Pacific countries. The training course was designed to enhance the competency of Green Productivity (GP) consultants.

Mr. George Wong served as a Lead Assessor and presented awards to winners of the top 10 participating teams from Housing & Dev Board, Institute of Technical Education, MINDEF (Navy), MINDEF (Army), Nanyang Polytechnic, National Heart Centre, Singapore Police Force, Singapore Turf Club and Yokogawa Electric Asia.

Mr. George Wong conducted a 4-day Fiji Business Excellence Award (FBEA) training workshop to senior and new 2015 FBEA Evaluators from the public and private sectors.  The program was very well received and complimented by all the participants.

Mr. George Wong facilitated a training of trainers workshop for participants from 16 Asia Pacific countries to become competent TQM trainers for the SMEs. The workshop enabled participants to have greater in-depth understanding of the TQM Philosophy, Tools and Techniques as well as its linkage with the Business Excellence Framework.

Mr. George Wong served as the APO Chief Expert together with National Experts from 5 Asian Countries (Republic of Korea, India, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore) for a 9-month Benchmarking Research Project for the Logistics Sector. The Study Meeting was held from 3-5 Mar ’15 to discuss and formulate survey questionnaires, KPIs and action plans. 

Mr. George Wong served as the APO Technical Expert on “Productivity Improvement and Productivity Gainsharing” and presented a paper on “Productivity Gainsharing Applications, Approaches and Methodology” at the National Wage Conference 2014.

Mr. George Wong facilitated a 5-day workshop on “Fair Distribution of Productivity Gains” to attain sustainable economic growth of enterprises across the Asia Pacific countries.

Mr. George Wong served as the Chief Expert together with National Experts from 6 Asian Countries (Republic of China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore) in a Study Meeting to discuss and formulate action plans for a Benchmarking Research Project for the Food Manufacturing Sector in Asia Pacific.

Mr. George Wong facilitated a 5-day ‘Business Excellence for Assessors’ workshop for delegates from 15 countries to share and learn from each other on their experiences and successful applications of Business Excellence Frameworks that they have in their countries.

Mr. George Wong was appointed the Lead Judges for this Annual Competition Event. 10 successful Innovation & Quality Circles (IQCs) and Work Improvement Teams (WITs) Finalists from various organizations participated in this Team Excellence Competition 2014.

Mr. George Wong participated, as one of the panel members, at the National Productivity Forum, to discuss how the four key pillars of Productivity (Processes, Innovation, Technology/Automation and Manpower Optimisation) can bring about that much needed Productivity boost for organisations.
